What lies within us: Mobilizing to end breed specific legislation
For years, advocates have battled breed-specific legislation (BSL), fighting for their rights through repeal efforts. BSL ordinances are being repealed rapidly and it’s only a matter of time before BSL is eliminated from public policy entirely, even at the federal level. But more challenges lie ahead. If you are involved in the national, state or local fight to end BSL, or would like to be, please join us for a day of strategic planning and training.
Presenters: Elizabeth Arps, MS, Manager of Research & Public Policy Services, National Canine Research Council; Stacey Coleman, Executive Director, Animal Farm Foundation; Adam P. Karp, JD, MS of Animal Law Offices; Kenny Lamberti, Acting Vice President, Companion Animals, The Humane Society of the United States
